My current research and practice explores our interaction with landscape, and examines how our daily connections with nature and place may influence and impact upon well-being.
By immersing ourselves within the landscape, a sense of place is experienced, influenced by the ephemeral - climatic and seasonal conditions as well as the constantly changing physical landscape. The sensory interaction we have with nature is analysed as we draw on past experience of landscape, building layers of meaning which enhances our connection. It is this interaction which holds the key to future well-being.
